APPOINTMENT OF INCORPORATORS & 2008 OFFICERS

Ganda naman ng post ni ms. elaine. Hahabaan ko na rin kunwari post ko, o kasi na inspire na ako, kanina hilo ako (si boyet kasi). Do we really need officers, do we need them now? My answer is YES. We just can't leave everything at Slazh mercy, ayan nga pag di ka vo-vote di na pwede maki chat hahaha. I believe Slazh needs all the help he can get to realize his and our goals and dreams for BPM. I'm sure diyahe yan na siya lang ng siya ang mag de-decide or mag co-conceptualize. He needs these officers (mga utusan niya)! If for every issue we have to consult the majority na hindi naman lahat active aabutin tayo 48years to come up with a single decision. I'm sure not everybody who signed up here is expecting a meeting and votation every now and then. If we have this officers, they can easily come up with a decision in a single session, since they will be the voice of the majority. For the mean time "chika lang ang hanap members" like me, can go ahead with their own business (chika lang ng chika). Now how do we choose these officers? If we can have volunteers who will stand and say I am the best person for the position because ..... so and so, that would be great, but i don't think that's gonna happen. I will let Slazh work his charms with his potential officers and pray these people would accept the challenge. Although, I like online polling too (parang masaya), we nominate or volunteer others who we believe can do the job. I think winners in the poll will take pride in their victory and this could be enough motivation for them to spare time and effort for BPM cause. Hay haba na, mamya uli. For the INCORPORATORS maybe you could come up with a poll and then we could just click on whoever we would like to vote (faster and easier) - since you have a list of INCORPORATORS, maybe we could stick to that --- but if there are other interested individuals, then I guess it'll be fair to have the poll thingy.

For the OFFICERS - it's kinda hard coz we have to have at least the participation of at least, 50% of the registered members man lang sana... IF NOT - best that we have 6 months term for those who could immediately work on BPM (those currently active) so we could get to pull it off as a start and then when we have all or at least a better percentage of all the members then we could have a longer term kind of election of officers after 6 months (or re-elect those who've served BPM well)

Having a CHAPTER per area will be great too so it will be easier to get in touch with all members but this could be done right after we have our officers.

In the meantime, kindly give me an excel sheet of all the email addresses of all the registered members so we could inform them of our SITE (again) and that, we could inform them of the new features of the site (chat and forum) - they might end up being active and we could start everything from there

or ALL ACTIVE MEMBERS could make our own BLOGS indicating the site and the links through friendster, facebook, multiply, myspace, wayn, tagged, eskwela, etc.. etc.. kung san pa kau may mga profile na tingin nyo.. you have Philex peeps as friends...

Reading all the comments and suggestions...I SAY: THE MAKER OF THIS SITE IS THE PERSON WE OWE THE MOST...LETS JUST FACE IT, HE HAS DONE A GOOD JOB AND HAS BROUGHT US ALL BACK AGAIN. "AND WE ARE ALL ENJOYING IT" RIGHT?
I WONT HAVE SECOND THOUGHTS OF LISTENING TO THE WEBMASTERS SUGGESTIONS AND IDEAS, AS A MAKER OF THIS SITE, WHO WOULD WANT IT FALL? AND I/WE SHOULD BE GRATEFUL ENOUGH, INSPITE OF THE FACT THAT HE ISNT A TRUE BLOODED PHILEXIAN, HE HAS LOVED PHILEX ITSELF AND HAS BEEN A PART OF IT. To Elaine M. Babilonia,

Thank you for your full support, trust and confidence. Your message has strengthened me more and has given me much inspiration to fullfil what I have initially dreamed for BPM, and that is to reunite all Philexians worldwide, form a group that will plan what's beneficial for everyone and keeping Philex alive in our hearts.

You are right Elaine, if a stranger like me have this passion and love for Philex Mines, why would I allow it to fall. Everyone has seen the fruits of my labor for BPM. Everyone has now access to their old classmates friends and relatives and we have the chatroom that's keeping our communication open at any given time, 24/7.

I have spent my own money, time and effort in creating this website for all Philexians to enjoy. If I ask myself what profits me from doing this, my answer is NOTHING. Then why do I have to continue doing this? Well, my answer is I LOVE PHILEX MINES, therefore, I will continue improving this site and I will never ever allow BPM to fall.

If, along the way, we see some defects, shortcomings and loopholes, we can always amend, repair, modify and put things in proper order, and this time, all the BPM members will share their active particiapation.

Therefore, I enjoin all other Batang Philex to speak and let us hear your voice.

Let's expedite the process of appointing the new set of officers now so we can start planning. Too much discussion will bring us nowhere. If we hide from the risk, we hide from the rewards.

Sir Bobby, let us not then waste our time in choosing the leaders of this group so we can start ASAP. 2009 is just around the corner and it wouldn't be a success having a grand homecoming if we keep discussing.
